Publisher Printing Preferences

December 29, 2007

Dear ePublishers,

We here at The Naughty Bits are all about the preferential treatment and since discussion has come up about certain well known and well loved ePublishers displaying this preference in regards to taking eBooks to print we wish to lend our support for this briiliant idea.

It so rocks in a “fuck your competitor up the ass with a big one” way. If anything I myself can understand just that very compulsion. But.. I must say that there are times when I sit here wondering if I am the only one seeing some hellaciously talented authors not getting the sweet sweet “print it now” lovin that they so richly deserve.

So without further ado let me show you some eBooks that the Pig would be so buying for his keeper shelf if you just got off your fat ass and put them on the fast track to paperback as soon as these writers have handed you the whack crack they do so well.

With Love, Teddypig

Teddy, according to Samantha Kane’s website, the Brothers in Arms ARE being released in print. But honestly, her covers (and others) are outside my “kid safe” comfort zone.

hee-hee, just testing out the way cool comment edit feature. Course you’re EBIL for sending the comment into moderation first. Ya damn tease!

IDK, Teddypig, that Morgan Hawke book makes me nervous. What did I say before? Too much of a good thing? See Lisabea reaching for her smelling salts….I mean how many penises does one girl really need?

I take offense. My ass is NOT fat.

Did you see there is a new Morgan Hawke book coming out in that series?

Oh HO HO! Is that an edit comment box I see?

    What plugin is that, Teddypig?

WP AJAX Edit Comments but you cannot run anything else comment wise except Akismet which follows my belief that less is more.

Bev, as this older gentleman I was dating when I was 19 told me as he greased my ass… It only hurts the first time.

Oh, he lied by the way.

Sniffle. I guess it is fat, in a kind of Bob Crumb cartoon kind of way.

I may not be able to think about print for a bit while I think about how sad that is.

We are excited about Morgan’s new book.

Oh I am so getting that when it comes out. Those Loose-Id books of Morgan’s were some of the first ones I picked up and they are so good.

Which is why I want paperbacks of all of em.

I’ve been waiting, sort of patiently. But I know for sure neither Enforcer nor Tri Mates is on the print schedule through March. I’m told it’s because they wanted to be sure the folks without print books going to RT had them. I can’t hate on that idea, of course, I was a newbie once too. Still, I’d love to see the first two CW books out in 08.

As an aside, man what a bunch of gorgeous covers up there. Ebook covers can at times be, um, less than fabulous, but I have to say, the ones you’ve got up are beautiful.

I am all about the packaging. It so adds to a books appeal and reception. Down with poser and up with Anne Cain & April Martinez!

Got something to say?
