Saw the trailer a couple of weeks ago. Looks like another Oscar nomination for Sean Penn. I grew up in the SF Bay Area back when Milk was on the Board of Supervisors. It’ll be interesting to see how well (or not!) the film captures the essence of that time.

I think Armistead Maupin has that flavor copyrighted but Kevin Bentley did a damn good job in Wild Animals I Have Known: Polk Street Diaries and After.
