I think it is time to start using those Border Books Gift Cards if you got em. When I start hearing that, much like Circuit City did, a major chain store stops carrying new merchandise completely and stops allowing customers to place special orders that might increase their current local stock then I don’t think they are long for remaining in business. Just saying.

For several months now (before xmas), our local Borders has gone down hill. There are two close. One was crappy to start with, but has gotten worse. The “good” one is just lame. There’s a lot less books on the shelf. They changed the layout and most sections were severely reduced. The last few times I’ve gone, it’s been sad. :-(
My brother lives across the country and he reports similar goings on at his Borders.
It really sucks, because I love Borders.
