Man I'd written this post about lots of cool cars, but it went 'poof', damn it!

Anyhoo - VW GTI - I had a much older model at one point. Damn I loved that thing, and if they kept fairly true to the suspension/drive train set up it sticks to the road like a stick thing.

Lancers and Evo - very popular, along with civics in NZ for the riceboyz, but at the same time fairly popular for the single/couples/upwardly mobile set (obviously not so great for a family car)

Honda - mines an Element, so is fairly budget inside (but I love the whole 'wash and ride' concept like whoa, seriously if I could get them to do a pilot with the plastic interior I would be in heaven) but I like the ride, I would love a pilot hybrid if it exists.

Don't be embarrassed!

You can go out there and get some great deals on American Made cars right now.
Even an American Made Toyota or Honda that do not have the Detroit Desperation Stench hanging off of them.

But if you do go looking at The Big Three... just do not read any online reviews though because in essence you are throwing good money away. Consumer Reports basically buried any serious consideration from me of owning any overpriced Detroit crap years and years ago.

Hell, From my own online reading I am even considering checking out a Mitsubishi Lancer. Sounds like a go cart, but it sounds like fun.

VW GTI has some serious cool factor. Have you seen any Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear? very funny. Not sure what he said about the Lotus.

We just got a new car. Well, not brand new. It is so sensible that both sets of parents approved and said words like sensible, nice and practical. Am too embarrassed now to tell anyone what it is!!!! Is old man car. But, it goes up hills and the radio gets many stations including the cricket. heh.
