Loose Id

It seems Loose Id switched from loose-id.com to loose-id.net or at least that is the only URL working at the moment.

I think they’re supposed to both work, but the new site isn’t complete yet. Things will continue to change for a few more days.

Both are working fully for me now. There were some issues while the propagation from one host to their new though, and I had problems Thurs

Funny, I keep getting a 404 Error and it is bouncing me to a LiveStats login page on the .com URL.

Thank God I’m not alone, Teddy. I think I’m going to be the very last one who finally gets to use the http://www.loose-id.com site. But I can use the .net just fine. Everyone, be sure to check the announcements on what’s up from LI.

TP, I have ALWAYS accessed loose-id through loose-id.net. In fact, in the past, there WAS NO loose-id.com and only loose-id.net existed. I remember this vividly because I was always mistakenly typing .net and would get an IE “site not found” error until I remembered to type .net instead.

So, it’s not really a switch, maybe they just didn’t renew the loose-id.com address for whatever (probably stupid) reason.

Check LI Idbits or the Community List for our announcements on what’s up with the site. But we’ve always had both .com and .net. Still do.

Nope .com keeps shooting me to http://www.loose-id.com/LiveStats/login.aspx which gives me 404.

I’m not saying this is the issue for you, but it was for me. It worked after I cleared out the temp files and cookies.

  9. TeddyPig wrote,

OK, cleared cache and history it works now.

I’m totally concerned that I’m giving you tips on technology. I think I’ll go hit some caffeine now since drinking anything else before 9:30 a.m. is really gauche.

Nah I have been on vacation for a while so I had not cleaned my cache like I usually do when testing pages for work. We usually put in a small redirect file when we change the pages around to cure this problem. Well not small redirect file, some of them have been being added to for years now. One of the headaches of being a web admin.
