I saw that last night and seriously, what was up with all that ridiculous laughing. It was annoying and a bit weird.

Did you or anyone else get the impression that Jon Stewart wasn’t really getting what this thing is all about? He seemed almost dismissive of it, which kind of urked me. Or maybe he was just trying to snarky. I don’t know.

My impression was that Jon Stewart sounded exactly like most everyone who isn’t an ebook convert: but I like to hold a book, books have prestige, why is it so expensive, I have to buy the books too????

I want an ebook reader but at that price it’s a luxury I won’t afford. And paperbackswap doesn’t swap ebooks (yet).

And Bezos’ laughing got strange. Maybe that’s what happens after you drink the Kindle-aid.
