In case you have not heard the Kindle is now $299
They dropped like $60 off the price tag and I guess want a gold star for it.

But… you guys know better. Right? Guys?

Pfft. I am cheap enough to transfer aaaaalll my PDFs one at a time from my MacBook to my iPod Touch via Stanza and not even care that Stanza wouldn’t know a PDF chapter heading if it got hit upside the head with one. All the words are there, in order, and I don’t have to shell out 300 bucks. Works for me :)

I have the original Sony reader and it works just fine. Unlike quite a few people out there, I don’t require that my reader is able to do anything but READ. I don’t want to e-mail, walk the dog, or sing a song. So I’m happy with the first version until it gives up the ghost. Then I’ll look around and see what’s out there, but it will never be a Kindle.
