Revenge of The Ass Attack! Pocket Pool Edition…
I got to give Ass Attack a bit of credit. At a price tag of $200.00 they are getting closer to the truth here. This is one inch smaller than their last model EZ Reader and $100.00 less.
With what looks like a faster chip and native Adobe engine maybe? Look at that, we still get no mention if Mac “and” Windows can function with it I guess you are supposed to assume that Adobe Digital Editions can on any OS and checkout the fact they dropped any mention of battery life.
Remember folks assuming anything about an online purchased product is never a good thing.
If choosing I would still go for the Cool-ER. Sorry Ass Attack!

I got a look at the EZReader last month and I would not recommend it to anyone. The casing appears fairly cheap, it’s not intuitive to use at all and after five minutes of use I felt for anyone who’d chosen this as the one to buy. There are so many options out there now, this doesn’t even come close to being competitive.

Ok, I have an “old school” Astak EZReader, altho I’m running the Hanlin v3 firmware. It was $219 in April after some crazy special at frys.com (and that included the leather case). I like it. A lot. Nope, it’s not the coolest looking reader out there, but it’s running a simple version of Linux, it’s intuitive to use, and it has a directory structure. Paired with Calibre, I’m hoping this tides me over until some of the ebook reader/platform/format craziness shakes out.
