It also looks like iTunes will be selling eBooks soon…
From Gizmodo: A person close to a VP in textbook publishing mentioned to me in July that McGraw Hill and Oberlin Press are working with Apple to move textbooks to iTunes.

Is that through my favorite iPhone App Stanza?
Basically word on the street is the Apple Tablet is going to be a big iPhone running the iPhone OS so all the apps are going to be live first day. As will my bank card as I stand in line for this thing.

First for the funny part: I’m in the Charlotte airport. I was using their free WiFi and clicked over to here. But I couldn’t. You were blocked as pornography.
iTunes has actually been selling ebooks for quite some time. It’s been picking up steam, lately, but for a good…year? maybe, there have been companies putting out ebooks as individual apps, not just for purchase through different ereader programs.
Here’s an iTunes link to Taken by Sin by Jaci Burton, as an example: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=331936384&mt=8
Samhain just released some this week. Four so far, I think. Though I did notice the price is higher than the actual cover price, thought that was kind of odd but I know other publishers have done the same, some making the iTunes “app” of the book obscenely expensive (2 or 3 times as much). I would presume part of this is to cover the cost of developing the book to app itself.
I’m excited about the Apple Tablet, but I think I’ll probably take a “wait and see” approach once it’s released. I don’t have to be in any hurry since I have my iPhone, netbook and MacBook :P

Panera frowns on The Pig as well. Damn them. And…my place is far more objectionable than his.
It’s a conspiracy. Poor TPig.

Ha, I don’t have anything related to the topic at hand to say, but I just thought it was funny that when I read Angela’s comment I also thought, “Panera blocks TPig’s site, too.”
Panera is seriously delicious, though.
