For my smart and frugal eBook Readers out there…
We all have to have a phone and if you hate AT&T like I hate AT&T and refuse the swallow the iPhone poison. I understand. Take a gander as this little goody. The Samsung Moment made for Sprint. A little bird told me the color screen on this doohickey is better than an iPhone (We are talking crystal!) and it’s supposed to have the fastest most advanced cell phone innards available.
Hey, if you have to drag around a cell phone why not buy one (or have Sprint subsidize this thing for signing their papers) that can also be a Google Android OS, Aldiko running freaking eBook Reader. At least till the Smart Tablets show up to help us finally buy something worth reading an eBook on.
Right?

I have the Palm Pre and I gotta tell you–that thing is hot. As in, when it’s charging, it could burn you. I’d be more interested in the Pixi (coming soon) or this little cutie. I went with the Pre because I like the screen size. Bigger is better.
I’m married to Sprint–only service here in this part of the state, and spotty at best..

Yeah, sad to say but Palm spent more time getting their software to look good and less time making sure the hardware was kosher. I have given up on them for personal gadgets and only use them if my company pays for one.
I don’t have time or the money to play their game and they really do not support Mac OSX at all. Nope, other products are coming out right now with much much better potential.

I have the Spring Moment from Samsung and I gotta say it is pretty cool. The only problem is battery longevity. I had the store install the APP KILLER which shuts down all of the running appts throughout the day. I am hoping this solves the battery issue. The GPS is very good and the screen is readable.

I have the Sprint Moment also. Prior to the Moment I had the Palm Pixi for a few days. I could not stand the Palm Pixi after the first day. The screen froze, and was very slow to load the apps. Also the battery life was horrible!
I LOVE the Moment! There is nothing more to say about it. I am not a high tech geek, but I do use my phone more than my home computer. The colors are vibrant. The load time is awesome, and this phone works just like I need it to. I would recommended this phone over any other ( and I have had most of them) phone out there!
