Parallels

Parallels Desktop 5 For Mac

Say you are like me and buy all your DRM eBooks in Microsoft Lit format because they are easily convertible to any other format or eBook Reader you might want to use by simply using Convertlit. Say you are like me and finally had enough of Windows security problems and bugs and viruses and gave up on ever owning another Windows based computer.

I have always had an extra install of Windows XP laying around and I still want to run Microsoft eBook Reader because it still is the easiest DRM to deal with. So I went out and bought a copy of Parallels Desktop 5 and I was back up and running Microsoft eBook Reader and Convertlit in no time.

You simply install Parallels Desktop 5 For Mac be sure you have their activation code before doing that and then it prompts you to install Windows XP be sure you have their activation code before doing that using the Windows XP install disk and you are off to the races updating the Windows XP Service Packs forever and ever. God I never wanted to deal with that stupidity again.

Once you are done though a fully activated Microsoft eBook Reader and Convertlit sit right on your Mac Dock and run just like they are Mac OSX native applications. It’s an amazing thing, Parallels integrates these Windows Apps into Mac OSX. So no you do not have to leave everything behind switching to a Apple only world you just become a lot smarter in getting what you want.

Remember my security recommendation… DO NOT use any Windows Apps for buying online or email and in fact never have those apps running on Mac OSX when you do. Just in case PLEASE?
