Brave New Chapter: The Simon & Schuster eBook Announcement
When did Simon & Schuster start selling artificial sweeteners and ketchup?
Listen folks the music industry was founded by selling singles. It began it’s whole life that way.
The album format did not really catch on till later in the game and then when artists started fluffing their albums with filler material because they really only had one or two good songs to sell… the whole album format became hated by the customers and there was instantly demand again for singles.
Then iTunes came around to bring back the sale of singles online even though now they are again trying to figure out how to sell albums or as they call it LPs.
I would think Simon & Schuster would have looked into that before doing this whole sell a chapter at a time deal.
Who wants this? Did any of you Simon & Schuster customers out there call them wanting to buy a chapter at a time?
Yeah, this whole idea is a BIG FAIL right out of the gate.

So not interested in that model. Heck, I sometimes wait for all books in a series to be done before I start it… and why the heck would I pay $2-$3/chapter for any book?!
