I have word web, but no dictionary.com, so I guess that’s a point for word web, huh?

LOL Well I’ve used dictionary.com and thesaurus.com but not wordweb, so there you go. Point for each, I guess *g*
BTW I do actually like the dictionary.com website very much, though I haven’t used the iPhone app. Will have to download that, thanks for the heads up :D

You use the Google Search Function in Safari fives times with the word you want to put in the auto-correction dictionary and the iPhone picks it up. Sounds like a hassle to me.

Hrmmm, that does sound like a bit of a hassle, huh. I just want some file I can import and expand my dictionary…kinda like what you do with fonts.

I’m gonna download the dictionary.com app and see how it works. I don’t have to use my iPod very often as an emergency writing device, but sometimes I do and I like to be prepared…

I’ve used both WordWeb and dictionary.com for half a year on iPhone 3G. WordWeb is light, with straight-forward answers. It is very useful for day-to-day quick reference. Dictionary.com is heavy-duty, with more detailed explanations on words and their origin. As a result, it is bigger in size, takes longer to startup and the interface is not as smooth, clean and flexible. For instance, after looking up a word, you can’t click on any word in the explanation to lookup the new word. Anyway, it really depends on your needs and preferences. For me, I end up using WordWeb most of the time because of its speed, and I don’t really need the extra details on the road. For that kind of details, I prefer to use printed dictionary.
