We selected public domain titles as our free eBooks because these books are traditionally among our customers’ favorite works of literature…. Also, for copyright protection purposes, these files are encrypted and cannot be converted or printed.
One more reason to hate any DRM ePub or PDF or any other craptastic format since it allows for this type of encroachment on the consumers rights. I buy eBooks not the DRM just like I buy CDs not those shoplifter alarm strips you include with the packaging so keep it and shove it where it rightly belongs because I am going to strip it off anyway when I get it home.
