Barnes & Noble Nook

Not Yet the Season for a Nook

The only thing slower than the color strip is the main screen above it.

In summary the Times reviewer basically says the Kindle is better and that my friends is sad. Barnes & Noble is already promising updates and bug fixes sometime next year a bad sign showing they know their expensive gadget is failing miserably and it’s pre-ordering holiday customers will be unhappy with what they get. Stick another nail in their coffin because that will make investors run like hell and I would so hold off for a Smart Tablet.

On That note the “king of swindles, lies & cons” (Check the recent Consumer Reports rating of LAST PLACE) AT&T is still complaining about iPhone users and now says they will start Capping Usage and Raising Rates on their Unlimited (Hidden fees and poor customer service) Data Plans. Just in time for Apple to start allowing folks to buy iPhones on other cellphone providers. I say run away, cue the mass exodus and/or buy a Droid. I have dumped my personal iPhone (Sorry Apple but you forced me to.) and only have Jason on his for his job. As soon as possible I will be leaving AT&T and not coming back. Buh Bye AT&T craptastic company of 2009 you had your chance but it is 2010 in a few days so your time has come to go away like AOL or Compuserv only with less fond memories. Thanks for the expensive paperweight!

How disappointing about the Nook .. my mother and I are going to be in San Francisco in July and I’m planning on having a look at the various ereaders that are available while we are there. Given that a lot of my eBooks are in the eReader format I was hoping that the Nook would be the ereader for me.

Fictionwise now seem to have available an ereader device called an eSlick. Has anyone used it?
