One of my Gay Faves did not make that list Mulholland Drive.
So my personal gay movie list for the last decade looks something like…
1. Brokeback Mountain
2. Milk
3. Mulholland Drive
And the not gay but ever so wonderful Ghost World would be added in there if I could because everyone forgets that damn film.

No shit Brokeback Mountain. That movie touched me more than any movie, except maybe Dead Man Walking – with Harvey Milk!

I loooooooved Ghost World! But OMG I did NOT love Mulholland Drive! Maybe I’m just stoopid (always a possibility) but I had not the first itty bitty little clue wtf was going on and I do like to know the plot of a movie I’m watching o_O

Ally, I usually recommend you watch Blue Velvet or Dune to sorta get how David does his thing. But yeah it’s a bit hard to follow.

Blue Velvet’s one of my favorite movies ever. Dune was okay though not nearly as good as the book IMHO (the book’s just WAY too complex to make a movie out of; a series of movies, maybe, like LOTR). I just didn’t get Mulholland Drive at all. Flew right over my head. Part of me is still convinced that ol’ Dave is sitting in his house laughing his ass off at everyone trying to figure it out. Heh.
