Next up from CES we have the Hearst/Sprint Skiff eReader.
Just The Facts…
Lightweight 11.5-inch full flexible touchscreen making it the largest eReader on the market with a resolution of 1200 x 1600 pixels beating the 9.7-inch display Kindle DX in both size and clarity. Plus you can bend it!
Ummm, that’s about it so far. Sounds like Hearst wants to pull a Kindle so you will have to buy content from only the “Skiff Store”. They’re only talking about magazine and newspaper content so far which Hearst obviously owns which I am sure will be so special in grayscale. So unless this thing can be hacked and cracked like the junky Nook. I think it has as much of a chance at creating real consumer interest as an ice cube being made in hell. BLAH!

I saw this one on Engadget and boggled. It’s just too damn big and impractical to carry around, unless you’ve got your briefcase/laptop case with you. And then, if you’re already carrying your laptop, why would you want this, too?

Actually, I think ice cubes in hell would move pretty fast. Those devils need something to chill their sangria…
