Dear Adrian Ludwig you loser,
The reason Apple is never going to support Flash is simple. Your company Adrian Ludwig, Adobe, has shit for brains and has always had issues implementing software that did not break things for everyone. Important things like Internet Security.
Adobe Flash is a known resource hog, something Adrian, portable computer devices like smart phones can not support. For example the Android version of Adobe Flash 10 requires at least a 500MHz processor.
Adobe Flash has and continues to introduce numerous security problems on any OS stupid enough to run it. Got that? Is that hard to understand?
Adobe Flash was yesterday’s bad idea and anyone with half a brain these days is implementing and rolling out HTML5 as fast as they can and the only proprietary Adobe product anyone should probably ever bother buying is Illustrator or Photoshop.
So to people out there with Adobe Flash websites and such. DUMP THEM!
If you failed to notice they will not work on the current iPhone or iPod Touch or on the new iPad and half the other Smart Phones out there worried about battery life and security of their OS. We here on the Internet are going mobile so catch up and get rid of Adobe Flash and it is always a good idea to keep your website simple HTML so people with sight impairments can use a screen readers.
Adobe was fail when they came into the Internet video market and they ruined Dreamweaver and they are fail today with anyone trying to use a mobile device to watch Internet Content. New year, same stupid Adrian Ludwig sitting in the corner wondering why no one wants to play with him despite all the evidence online showing exactly WHY.
So let’s cut the promises of yet another version that will be better and dump the big loser that is everything Adobe Flash. Buh bye! Oh and Adobe, can you take your PDF/ePub DRM with you when you leave?

TeddyP, doesn’t YouTube require Adobe Flash for viewing? (I seem to recall disabling it at one point, but there were sites my SO couldn’t view without it. He about went crazy.)

They are switching over to HTML5 quickly like most other sites. You can click on the security warnings link I gave and see what bad junk goes on.
