From – iSteal: Apple’s iBooks Copies Interface from Third Party
Delicious Monster founder Wil Shipley has this to say…
“No, Apple didn’t license iBooks from me. They just copied me. Ah well,” he wrote. Later, he added, “I guess it’s not enough Apple has hired every employee who worked on Delicious Library, they also had to copy my product’s look. Flattery?”
OMG what next? Dude, it is books on a shelf not a new type of display concept. Do you want a pat on the back for having gone to any library and proceeding to rip off the very common idea of a book on a shelf? Not to mention, did Stanza iPhone App or Barnes & Noble pay Apple for ripping off the album Cover Flow concept for their eBook Readers like the Nook?
I notice he did not mention Aldiko Android App who used the exact same idea or Manomio C64 Video Game iPhone App but people who make this shit up generally fail to notice the other apps they ripped off to begin with. Every day is a new day and every idea is totally unique and no one has ever done that before. I really wonder who actually thought of the whole bookshelf idea first.
