In the house of upside down
Cellars top floor, attic’s ground
In the house of upside down
Laughing cries and smiles frown
In the house of upside down
Found is lost and lost is found
I am going to give this sequel higher marks than The First One. The story felt just more straight forward and easy to follow than the first go round and with the whole Big Daddy/Little Sister point of view expanded on making for a really interesting dynamic in the game.
At no time were there any huge boss fights in this new version but more of a multi-part quest to save people while fighting off herds of bad guys but by the point things get really frantic towards the end you are sort of used to frantic battles since that had been building up from the start. This is all based though on if you make the right choices during the game play concerning the people you run across. The boss battles are now just choices of killing a specific character at a particular point in the game or letting them live. Make bad choices and I am sure this game can turn ultra creepy and viciously ugly.
This is a huge Grade A from me which for a sequel is hellaciously rare. Be sure to at least give this one a rent even if it does not look like something you would like since it will probably be one of the few seriously entertaining games this year.
PS… The soundtrack I so want. Blues and Jazz, it’s an Art Deco dream.
