Anyone out there know of a Gay Scottish Romance? I mean your full on Hannah Howell kilts and “wee lass” type deal more Hollywood than accurate. At this point I will even take the dreaded “Time Travel” blah. We need more unwrapping the laird’s kilt with dowries optional.

The only two I know of are:
The Journeyer by J P Bowie
The Low Road by James Lear – Jacobite Scotland
But you are right, someone needs to do one to suit the LORD OF THE HISSYFIT cover.

Hee, I actually like the cover but the title needs work.
Plus Kilts are the full on “easy access” as far as traditional male clothing goes.
Sometimes I just want a fun read. Like watching The Quiet Man and knowing yes it is cringe worthy but also fun and romantic.
Hmmmm, those look like more “young men epic adventure novels” than what I was thinking.
As I said Hannah Howell not two chapters of kilts and lairds and then two chapters of pirates and ships at sea and then two chapters of Indians attacking Fort Dust Bowl. Like some historical “Village People” show

I KNOW I saw one somewhere… KNOW IT. But it’s not in any of my Amazon wishlists so it can’t be available in print. Since I’m not reading ebooks now, the only other place I can think of that I might have visited and come across it is All Romance ebooks, but I don’t know why I wouldn’t have put it on my ARe wishlist.
But here’s a Regency from my Amazon wishlists. Tangled Web
And an Arthurian The Song of Sir Rod the Long: A Gay Romance of the Round Table
Now this is going to drive me bugfucking nuts until I remember where I saw it. Thank TP, thank you so very, very much. /sarcasm

Wait… A CLUE! A CLUE just popped into my swiss cheese brain!
Look at paranormals. I’m remembering a Laird who is also an alpha werewolf. He’s surprised when his mate turns out to be a man (possibly an English man?).

*sigh* I thought maybe I saw it at Total-E-Bound when I was checking on Madelynne Ellis’ Pure Folly a few days ago (now THERE’S an author for you to try. Oh wait, I sent you one of her books and you never read it! *ahem* Anyway, now that Black Lace went belly up, she’s trying to find a home for her Georgian series that is my ZOMG favorite. But for now she’s got this standalone at T-e-B and she’s got another upcoming at Samhain).
Bad News:
I couldn’t find the book I was looking for, but then again I didn’t go through every page of their titles. Can I just say how much it flat out pisses me off that GLBT is lumped together without sub-themes like GLBT-Historical?
Good News:
I found one. Sorta. Which leads to…
Bad News:
It’s in an anthology and it’s a contemp with Highland Games involved, which still means KILTS!
Worse News:
Carol Lynne wrote it which means Karen Scott will never forgive you if you like it.

Wow Erastes check out that Madelynne Ellis’ Pure Folly. That is right up your ally and Bev that does look interesting. I am sorry Bev, it’s probably stuffed somewhere in my TBR pile. I apologize. I am really hoping that when I get the new iPad I will be able to devote more time to eBook reading. Would you believe I have done better with my books in print pile this winter?
Oh my Carol Lynne! *sigh* I might take a chance on it I heard she has gotten better and some of her stuff does not feel rushed out the door with absolutely no editing. Her reputation is not good even with me because I have bought some of her Ellora’s Cave stuff and felt ripped off before.
