I still hear the sound of
Conversation from the hall
Look to see who’s coming
But it’s nothing
And there’s no one there at all

From: CNN ~ Murder arrest for BBC man who said he killed his lover
British police said Wednesday they have arrested a BBC television presenter on suspicion of murder after he told viewers he carried out a so-called mercy killing on a former lover.
Maybe this is the time to share a secret that I have kept for quite a long time. I killed someone once.
He was a young chap, he’d been my lover and he got AIDS.
In a hospital one hot afternoon, the doctor said ‘There’s nothing we can do,’ and he was in terrible, terrible pain.
I picked up the pillow and smothered him until he was dead. The doctor came back and I said ‘He’s gone’. Nothing more was ever said.
Yeah and for the record 16,301 Americans died of AIDS before Ronald Reagan could be “bothered” to address it in public because his old buddy Rock died assholes. Leave this old man alone, quit publicly persecuting the victims. I could confess the things I have done but frankly I don’t want to deal with anyone’s ignorance when it comes to experiences that have cut me so deep. Haven’t we survived enough crap already?

Was in London last week. This was getting a lot of follow up and letters to the editor in the papers, but very little of the attention was focused on AIDS, instead it was on euthanasia and assisted suicide.

Well they would not want to address AIDS because that would put what he said into context being there still is no cure and what happens is painful and fucked up. It’s a death sentence that they can delay these days with expensive medicines but eventually it will kill you just like it did back then only not as quickly.
