You guys know you are becoming one of my favorite places to shop for eBooks.
So here’s a thought.
Instead of sending me newsletters in email where they may or may not get read in a timely manner…
How about an Apple iPhone App geared towards selling me the latest eBooks by having it update me on the new stuff you just got in according to my preference. How about a different app for each type like a Straight Romance eBooks Catalog App or Gay Romance eBooks Catalog App that updates with the latest eBooks and the covers and maybe even sorted by special sub-categories within the genre and when I choose a specific cover you show me the blurb and then an excerpt to read through the app.
If I really like it maybe even have it link me over to the Stanza App so I can buy it and download it? Which buying the eBook should be the main thing. Sound good to you? How about the readers out there?
As I was telling my boss the other day about online banking and the Apple “App Concept”…
People are going to evolve here and the first step is they will expect if you are serious about business you will be online and you will have a usable retail website at the “bare minimum”.
After that they are going to start judging the top companies by their apps and if they present and promote the companies products for sale specifically to them and their special interests through these “Specialty Apps”. I see an evolving specialty packaging retail trend here people that runs right along with this “Apps Concept”.
