So I finally found a decent listing of Gay Bookstores with actual functioning “you can shop for gay books” and not read how they hope to eventually do something with their website. Of course most of them are not in the US showing just how backwards most Gay Bookstore owners are in the US.
Check out my sidebar for the links.
You can almost guess what will happen when the eBook craze hits with the iPad because you know every queen wants one by now. Come on! Those article writers over at Teleread are smoking some good crack if they think the iPad does not change the whole eBook Reader game. Kindle was made for burning… and Sony what?
I have rediscovered Out Write in Atlanta… I had forgotten about them. *sigh*
Check out some of the more interesting Gay Bookstores around the world. I especially love the name Hares & Hyenas. That so rocks! Those Aussie guys are a hoot and not bad looking either.

I know the iPad changes the game for me. I’m much more likely to buy that than a single function device. It’s a no brainer for me.

What about Giovanni’s Room? I’ve ordered a number of books from there. They’ll ship them. http://www.queerbooks.com

To be honest I have tried to use Giovanni’s Room but the site is slow and hateful to try and get around. That is why I left it off of the list.

FYI – Calamus Bookstore in Boston is also offering eBooks for sale on its website. We have only a few titles but we will be expanding our selection in the coming months.
Thanks and cheers,
