This is because eBooks sold by UK retailers tend to be protected by Adobe’s Digital Rights Management software which neither the iBook or Kindle apps support
Um actually the txtr app for the iPad can support Adobe Digital Editions version of ePub DRM. You would think chicken little would do more than take the word of some commenter on Mobile Read. Oh look, someone else did mention txtr hmmmm. Why does everybody only focus on iBooks or Kindle when talking about the iPad? It’s like they believe the iPad is some sort of one trick eInk Reader.
