Pandigital Novel

From: Slate Droid ~ Beginners Guide to hacking the Pandigital Novel

It’s really great to see the hackers are grabbing this Pandigital dog and seeing if they can get a real Android Tablet without the fleas. They have been able to load a new home screen and get all the different Android eBook Apps loaded on the thing. I have seen Kindle and B&N and Borders and Kobo so they can all function on this thing.

I have also seen claims of people finding the Pandigital on sale and with rebate offers making the price around $115 (A 20% off coupon at Bed, Bath & Beyond plus a $15 Mail-In-Rebate) which is a neat trick if you find it for such a low price.

Makes the effort to hack it to get it to work decently even more attractive. The point is IF you buy this thing to hack it then it is probably easier to accept a $115 loss if you end up “bricking it” or “breaking it” to put a bigger Micro-SD card in it or eventually root it so it can run Android’s latest version etc.
