I tried the Italian Roast this morning.
How best to describe this experience…
You take a pile of coffee beans and set it on fire using lighter fluid. Starbucks has been doing this for years now. You wait for an hour and once the fire goes out take a gallon of tap water and wash the pile into your coffee cup.
Now take a sip. I dare you!
I think I will stick to good old Folgers Instant Freeze Dried coffee in desperate occasions this is called for. Jason swears by the Arizona/Arnold Palmer Half and Half Ice Tea and Lemonade for your low sugar low fat packet beverage lovin. So there is that.

I’ve never liked coffee from Starbucks (nor most of the chains that are famous for their coffee). And I’ve tried (and disliked) various instant coffees. I do, however, love instant Cafe Bustelo. It’s the only instant coffee I’ve ever had that tasted like “real” coffee. So, if you ever see it where you shop and want to give it a try…

The standard Starbuck instant is crap. The flavored types are actually poison. I travel a lot and have drunk some pretty goddam awful coffee, but Starbucks instant vanilla is the only coffee I ever actually spat out in the sink.
