Apple iPad2

The Apple iPad2

It has a Kobo App and a Amazon Kindle App and a Nook App and an Adobe Reader App and an iBook App etc etc etc and they are all installable and understandable and usable and load eBooks on the fly and the iPad2 does everything you want, backs itself up while playing your favorite tunes and balances your checkbook by simply you turning the dang thing on.

No cheapo eInk device or Android / RIM / Kindle / clone of the minute wannabe tablet out there can say the same thing. Not a damn single one of them ever could. Too bad they lose and the sad part is they never could hope to win because they are simply following Apple’s lead and always were from day one. Imitation is not flattery it is a sign of always being behind the ball.

The only thing I say differently today is DO NOT BUY THE CELLPHONE DATA PLAN FEATURE! I mean do not buy an Apple iPad2 and get a AT&T version or a Verizon version.

Just get the plain vanilla flavor “wifi only” Apple iPad2 with as much memory as you want.

This is what you buy to compensate for that non cellphone data plan hookup…

I have seen them give these boxes away on sale and it’s all of 50 bucks a month for a decent data plan “AT THE MOMENT” and you can connect up to five wifi devices to this thing and it is fast with the 4G. Damn fast and small! As fast as my home internet connection through my cable modem fast. So get your laptop out and share this connection with your iPad2. Get it? Got it? Good!

The cellphone data plans right now are simply all over the place (I have been hanging onto my original iPad/iPhone AT&T unlimited account for dear life.) and it’s just too chancy when buying an extremely useful device like an Apple iPad2 to tether it to only one single use cellphone data provider ever when things can change so quickly. These days it’s better to just get the “wifi only” version and separate out that type of cheap today expensive tomorrow connectivity so you can switch cellphone carriers on the fly if you have to move or make your life more affordable suddenly.

Practical adaptability is the word of the whole decade with an Apple iPad2.
