From: TonyMacX86 ~ UniBeast Install Mac OSX Lion
OMG! What a revelation and it seriously works so smoothly.
I just finished doing Jason’s Birthday Hackintosh last night and I did end up beating my brains over a couple of things but the Mac OSX Install went like butter.
See, Tony updated his website with the new UniBeast app. So freaking smooth!
Teddypig’s Hackintosh ~ Parts Is Parts
Since I hate Newegg and their sucky limited return policies and scamtastic extended warranty program you can just use this handy dandy Amazon Wishlist I created with all the parts.
Teddypig’s Hackintosh ~ The Setup
So if you want to get ahead of my posts on Hacking A Tosh.
Buy all the exact same parts I bought in the first post.
In the second post do everything but the XMove steps but have the same supplies handy.
- A clean 8 gig USB Thumbdrive
- An Apple Mac OSX Lion Thumbdrive… You can buy it on the Apple Store which I link to on that post.
Anyway, instead of using XMove like I originally told you follow the new instructions I just updated using UniBeast and have both the newly formatted USB blank 8 gig thumbdrive and the Apple Mac OSX Lion thumbdrive mounted on your old Mac. Just run the UniBeast app you downloaded and follow along with the article or my post where he or I tells you all the steps and how to do them.
You can basically plug this sucker UniBeast USB thumbdrive into your Hackintosh boot from it and do the full Max OSX Lion install in record time and it so worked for me like 123 and we’re done. So it can be used on just about any Gigabyte based Tonymacx86 Hackintosh to repair and fix reboot issues.
I will go into detail in a final post later on how to do the full install thing and then finish it off just right. I just wanted to rave about that new UniBeast that took some hours of fiddling around out of the project.

It’s the 27th. It’s an early Birthday Present because it took work between the two of us to build it all.
