Slightly Off Topic Here… I wish more people in our very very very small teapot of an M/M Romance Community would respect Elisa Rolle’s work and her website and her efforts to find and promote new writers and new eBooks. I have never heard a single bad thing about her in all the time she has been doing this great work, not once. Now me on the other hand… Oh boy!

Can I say that it “REALLY BOTHERS ME” seeing supposed grownups, whom I would think should know better, purposefully picking fights on that particular website when that is not the point of what Elisa is doing. If you want to argue with the author or make crazy accusations then could we all agree to take it to email or the author’s website or even your own friggin website people? Hell, bring it over here, but I hope you know what THAT will mean. Elisa is always nice, she cares about writers and their work and I, being more than capable of handling the occasional fucktard moment, am getting tired of seeing a really nice person get abused like that. Not cool!

So for the coming year can we all agree to find another place to wage the next tempest? KTHXBAI

Emily Veinglory and her EREC website is an institution in my book. I hope more people rally to help her track her sales figures and keep some transparency in the ePublishing business. Writers old and new need the type of information Emily roots out of the flash and promotions and vague promises to make valid well informed business decisions.

I might not always agree with her and her with me. Hard heads and strong opinions and a mutual love for ePublishing tends to do that. But, the best friends to have are those who do not always agree with you. They are the people you should listen to.

So far it seems we have an all out battle for nominations between Scott Carpenter and Anne Cain. I can see it now… And in this corner weighing in we have Scott Carpenter and in this corner we our current champ Anne Cain.

My good friend Lisa Bea over at Nose In A Book gave this as her fave of 2008. With the comment “it’s haunting” and something about “there is no groping of mantitty“. I think it still has a distinct mantitty feel to it though. I have to say so far we have had Anne Cain and Scott Carpenter and now Croco Designs. Just add in April Martinez and these are all the heavy hitters that show up again and again as the artist on covers that catch my eye.

These people I am badgering, I mean asking, have some damn good taste.
