With Rick Santorum promoting outlawing contraceptives to punish women for those sex crimes against the state and our “Fierce Advocate” Obama the personified failure of hope signing into law his ability to make Americans disappear indefinitely at will without a chance at court proceedings on their way to Room 101. Think about it… between Obama and Romney both moderate Bush lite republicans at heart at least Mitt got his Health Care Plan passed without any compromise. Obama cannot even begin to say that so that means we are looking at some great Democrat big lies in order to sell the Obama compromised valueless brand of fail to the country yet again.

It’s like arguing over Coke or Pepsi. It’s really just caramelized sugar water and it’s still bad for you and when are you going to realize that you don’t “need” or “want” either brand of DoublePlusGood?

This album just seemed fitting somehow.

If you want your own copy of what I consider the best Eurythmics album in their entire catalog you have to find this one used or in CD format. They never remastered it and you cannot find it on iTunes despite it containing some of Eurythmics best music and vocals and even the videos were gorgeous. At least in my opinion.

Ray Conniff & The Ray Conniff Singers ~ We Wish You A Merry Christmas

There is something so mind numbing and almost cult like about the singing you will hear on this album. If this picture does not stir memories of plastic Santas, Polyester red velvet, fake fur trim and asbestos laced bootie pajamas all set aside on the easy monthly payment Christmas Layaway Program run, run away, very very quickly.

If you grew up in the era I grew up in and are a member of the tribe of Scooby Doo then you will remember this album. This entire album. You will remember how this music poured out into the December nights from every door and every window and every shop display case around Christmas inundating your soul, your very being, with the smell of burnt plastic and Chanel No. 5 soaked essence of Ray Conniff and his Ray Conniff Singers.

So grab some tinsel, the old rotating color wheel light, some spray on blue snow, and put a double shot of bourbon in your eggnog and go download this truly horrifying childhood nightmare from Amazon as a digital downloadable reminder of the holiday horrors, the real dark master demon of Christmas Past, that came long long before Justin Bieber ever sang a Christmas carol. Hail Santa!
