Word on the street is if you were a Stanza enthusiast then this is the other application that might get you through the dark night of the soul with the death of Stanza and all that. So give it a shot but I make no promises if it is worth anything since many people say it’s presentation leaves much to be desired.

I will stick to using iBooks and iTunes or even GoogleDocs on occasion to store my non-DRM PDFs in the freaking cloud if you know what I mean.

Delphine Dryden is hard at work planning a new series for Ellora’s Cave called Truth & Lies. Her latest looks like Xmas Spark over at Ellora’s Cave. Here is what she wrote me…

This is a series planning notebook for my “Truth and Lies” series with Ellora’s Cave. It’s where I keep all my story arc notes, character info, ideas for upcoming series books, and (as shown here) scenes that I’ve cut wholesale from books but may want to use elsewhere. The scene shown here is cut from the first series book, “How to Tell a Lie”. The other two books already released are “Art of the Lie” and “Naked Truth”. I’m working on the fourth right now, with a fifth book planned. Each book also has its own Scrivener notebook.

I could not have attempted a series without Scrivener. In fact, I doubt I could write very well without it at all, anymore. I’ve been using it for years, and it’s like an extension of my brain!

Thank you Delphine and thanks for um not being totally pissed at me for when I joked about that EC cover you got that one time. I never blame the author for that honest. Everyone gets the crazy cover except K.Z. Snow, she has a blood signed pact I heard.

Scrivener For Windows Beta 1.5

For those stuck in Windows you can try this beta which I have not used at all and I do know it does not have all the functionality of the current Mac version you buy but it should provide a taste of why and how writers are using it.
